Who are you?

I’m a Spanish artist with a background in illustration and a love of all things weird and surreal. Most of my work has a pretty dark sense of humor and touches of absurdity. My main ongoing project right now is called Secret Friends, it’s a photography series that plays with surrealism and quite literally bends reality to reveal another perspective.

What are you inspired by?

I’m inspired by weirdness, rawness, surrealism and absurdity. I like to find other perspectives in mundane situations and twist reality around.

What was the last movie you watched?

Hmm, does the series House of Cards count?

What was the last book you read?

Frisk by Dennis Cooper

Do you have any role model?

I don’t have a specific role model, but I’m fascinated and inspired by any artist who pursues a single subject or theme for a long period of time. I find it really interesting to see a work of art that has been developed and studied till the point of saturation because it often has a very surprising outcome.

What is your next creative project?

I’m shooting a lot of photos of Secret Friends right now, it’s an ongoing project and I’m not stopping any time soon. They’re going to travel a bit and I’m experimenting with a lot of new angles and mutations. I’m also working on another project called Red Rubber Road (redrubberroad.com) which is a self portrait series with Nat.

What do you like about Portfoliobox?

It’s super easy to use and I can upload images really quickly. It’s slick and very minimalistic, and perfect for people like me who don’t have much time on their hands.

Who are you?

My name is Lucas Leônidas, I'm a photographer and filmmaker based in São Paulo, Brazil. At the moment I'm studying cinema and working with commercial and non commercial projects. My work is based on lines and geometric shapes, mainly because I am passionate by visual arts.

What are you inspired by?

Most of time by literature and cinema. Makes me feel like I don't know anything, and I like this feeling. But when I want to think about my work, I take a walk. The streets are full of simples things that can inspire me. I think the deepest work came from simple things. Understanding the power of simplicity is undestanding what connect us, and this always helps the artist who wants to be honest with his work.

What was the last movie you watched?

LA Confidential. Not my type of movie, but it's always cool see Kevin Spacey.

What was the last book you read?

I recently read Three one act plays of Woody Allen, a very funny book with great dialogues. I recommend it to everyone.

Do you have any role model?

I don't have any role model. Of course, a lot of guys inspired me: Godard, Kurosawa, John Baldessari, Gabriel García Márquez, but a model is someone that can push you forward, and for me only my family and friends can do that.

What is your next creative project?

I'm working on some scripts for short films and thinking about new ways to explore photography.

What do you like about Portfoliobox?

Portfoliobox is simple and easy to use. It helps me to not waste time and just focus on what I want.

Who are you?

My name is Christopher Hunt and I work as a photographer shooting both commercial and editorial work. I split my time working in London and Stockholm, where I shoot for clients such as Esquire, Vanity Fair, Monocle, Vogue along with various advertising agencies for commercial campaigns. I mostly shoot portraits and still life, which has also been my main interest since studying photography at the University of the Arts in London. I love how I get to meet different people, being able to get an insigt into their often very interesting daily life, and capture a portrait that I hope somehow portrays who they are or what they do. My interest in still life has always been present, even in my portraits where the background and composition is as important to me as the subject I’m photographing, it’s when these two elements meet you get the perfect shot I think.

What are you inspired by?

A lot of things inspire me. It can be anything really from a day just walking around observing, watching an interesting film or documentary or meeting someone that just inspires you straight away.

What was the last movie you watched?

A Danish Girl

What was the last book you read?

Heat by Bill Buford

Do you have any role model?

There are loads of photographers and painters that inspire me, such as Irving Penn, Saul Leiter and Marlene Dumas to name a few. But I can’t say I have an obvious role model as such, it varies from time to time.

What is your next creative project?

I always try and shoot creative projects along with my commercial work. I think I need both in my life to feel happy with my work. At the moment I’m working on a book, my first, which is a sort of photographic diary capturing observations during a year in my life. But I’ve noticed it takes time to put together, so I need to get on with it!

What do you like about Portfoliobox?

I like Portfoliobox for the ease of use, being able to instantly update my website hassle free and with endless creative possibilities it seems. And not to forget the quick and friendly support!

March 23, 2016

Who are you?

My name is Yulia, I am an aspiring fashion designer currently taking a bachelor in Fashion Design at ESMOD Berlin. As long as I can remember I have always been in need of visual change. As a child I loved to redecorate my room every other week and cut into my clothes, even though I couldn't put them back together again. The need of realizing the ideas constantly popping into my head got overwhelming as I grew older, so I never really chose to create.

What are you inspired by?

I'm mostly inspired by social as well as political questions and how it is to be a citizen of our society. I think that my work often reflects my own experiences and emotions. Almost like a personal diary of the present.

What was the last book you read?

I don't get much time for reading during my semesters, but last summer I red Nina Björk's Lyckliga i alla sina dagar.

Do you have any role model?

I've never had one role model, but I do keep an eye on, and look up to, all of the extremely talented young girls taking over the creative world through social media right now!

What is your next creative project?

I got so inspired by the last book I read that my ongoing and next project is based on the same subject. I'm about to realize my first capsule collection, containing at least three looks this spring. The collection is called "Happily ever after" and is about capitalism, consumption and dreams.

What do you like about Portfoliobox?

I'm very happy to finally have a little home where my creative projects can move in. I think Portfoliobox was so easy and accessible to create a clean and personal portfolio with. And I've gotten alot of cred for it.

Who are you?

My name is Martina risso I am 20 years old and am currently living in Barcelona. I grew up in a small coastal town and very young I had a great interest in fashion and photography. I am currently developing many personal projects which are very creative and different and I think I will be able to reveal more information brief.

What are you inspired by?

My inspiration is obviously great photographers for me as Juergen Teller, Steven Meisel, Charlie Engman. I'm inspired by magazines, people, landscapes, cities, a picture, I am a very observant person so everything can be a great inspiration for me. I have a capacity to absorb a lot of pictures during the day and all I see it together and turn it into a totally different thing, and from my point of view. If Maybe I have a shooting in 5 days during the days before the shooting I will be changing all the initial ideas that I have because I look much at all. 24 hours a day and that will made me change surely my ideas.
Difficult to explain.

What was the last movie you watched?

The last movie I saw was The Hateful Eight by Tarantino , one of my favorite directors, many times over the shooting I get his playlist movies because it is also a great source of inspiration to me. I think he has a great personality and it shows in each of his great films, I feel very connected with the irony that he used in his films. That's what I would like people to understand in my photos.

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was the memoirs of Andre de Dienes explaining his history with Marilyn and explains how she was and how he moved with such naturalness in front of the camera. The memories tell their love story from the point of view of someone who Marilyn knew very intimately ie when Marilyn was Norma. Recounts the adventures they lived together love, heartbreak, accompanied by his portfolio. What I like is how the text perfectly describes the photograph of Andre. Just looking at the picture you can guess what you're going to read, or just reading a piece you can imagine the picture.

Do you have any role model?

I do not have a role model in this life but if I have skills or goals in life to which I would like to get. But for me one of my role models in my life would be my mother. And artistically speaking my role model would be the painter Bruno Sfeir because we have had a serius talks and he gives me great advices.

What is your next creative project?

I have several creative projects in mind. One is a personal series of photographs which showed the beauty from another point of view, I like to have a precious person in front and make out your ugliest face, that I find really fun.Another project that I have in hand is to open an online magazine but this can not advance any more.
