Who are you?
My name is Antoine Ramakers, born in The Netherlands in 1985. I’m a self-taught photographer. At the age of 19, with a second-hand Canon T50 35 mm camera, my love of photography was born. Later on I started to travel more and more. I love people with their cultures and customs, beautiful nature all over the world, I want to capture it. That is why I always have my camera with me to capture and share some of the experiences and views that I encounter. The most of my work is from my travels.
What is your next creative project?
Early 2018, I'll do a volunteer project in Africa for a period of 3 months, so I am very busy at the moment to plan everything. But I’m hoping to capture the local life there and maybe bring home some beautiful portraits.
How would you describe your work?
I would describe it as travel/landscape photography.
Who are your biggest influences in the industry?
Mostly other photographers are an inspiration for me. I really love the work of the following people: Jess Dales, Quin Schrock, Travis Burke and Chris Burkard.
What do you want your viewers to take away from your work?
There is more out there. I want to inspire my viewers to go out and travel, to enjoy beautiful things in nature and people. Meeting other cultures broadens your view. Beside that, I offer some of my works to buy.
