Who are you?
My name is Daria Langa. I am 19 years old and I live in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I have graduated the School of Fine Arts Romulus Ladea, and got a degree in graphic design at the end of it. I am currently a sophomore student at the University of Arts and Design, at the graphic department,here in Cluj. I had two exhibitions so far. The first one was a collective one (me and two colleagues), and the second one was a personal one. I participated in an University contest "Expomaraton" where me among other 16 students from different departments have been selected to participate in a marathon of exhibitions. At the and of it, based on the votes of the teachers, the public, and the directors from the art galleries in our town, some of us got some prizes. My prize was a personal exhibition in one of the galleries. The ''detached '' series from my portofolio are the ones with which I participated in Expomarathon.
What are you inspired by?
I find most of my inspiration in personal topics. Things related to memory, recollection, family, family stories, family traumas.
What was the last movie you watched?
The last movie I watched was a Romanian movie, which our country submitter to the Oscars: Sieranevada.
What was the last book you read?
The last book I have read is The world according to Garp by John Irving.
Do you have any role model?
I can't say that I have a specific role model, I admire some qualities that certain people have.
What is your next creative project?
Right know I'm working on the concept for the next exhibition.To sum up, it's a series of collages with old photos from different families that put a parallel between what kind of image the family builds, and the truth.
