Portfolio of the day
Who are you?
A little late I discovered photography as my passion and thus I studied photography at the Fotoakademie-Koeln, Germany, beside my work as a physics engineer. In my personal works I occupie myself with inward experience, relationships between people and childhood.
What are you inspired by?
I‘m frequently inspired by classical works of painting and photography. I really like going to galleries and I’m struck by a great light, a suspenseful composition or an interesting handling of dimensions – and then I mix and integrate these elements in my own images.
What was the last movie you watched?
Inside Out. Great movie. In fact too complicated for children even though my kids liked it as well. Especially Anger… :)
What was the last book you read?
A novel by John Vermeulen about life and work of the painter Hieronymus Bosch.
Do you have any role model?
Not in particular. I am fascinated by people who are at the same time experts in their area of expertise but humorous and down-to-earth. In this regard, my family and my friends inspire me and I don’t stop learning by watching and listening.
What is your next creative project?
Definitely something less subtle. Probably with nude and horror, but nice. ;-) So stay tuned!
What do you like about Portfoliobox?
Compared with other providers I like the simpleness of utilisation and the reduced design, which I think is perfect for photographers to show their work. You can quickly use the templates without having to change lots of stuff - or you can fine-tune tons of details if you want and have time to do that. And last but not least: the price.
