Who are you?
I am English and having studied fashion in the UK. I moved to Paris 15 years ago. I am a fashion designer first and formost but fashion doesn't stop there and I am also a stylist and trends consultant, illustrator and textiles designer.
What are you inspired by?
I am inspired by people who think differently and who make new things happen despite the pitfalls of these untrodden paths. I recently met with Sébastien Kopf from the label Veja, a visionary in his domain. He has bought the issues of sustainability in fashion to the foreground, so for his work for ethical and sustainable fashion with his brand Veja and his Paris concept store "Centre Commercial". He is my inspiration today.
What was the last movie you watched?
"The true cost", a documentary about the fashion industry. An incredible film that shifted my entire outlook.
What was the last book you read?
"The Road Home" by Rose Tremain.
Do you have any role model?
Tricky question this one. Yes, I guess. Strong independent women, doing their thing despite the odds, Rosa Bonheur, Isadora Duncan, Mme Grès, Louise Bourgeois, Josephine Baker, Nina Simone, Vivienne Westwood.
What is your next creative project?
I shall be working on the launch of my fashion label, "The button Dandy". An ethically produced fashion line using organic materials.
What do you like about Portfoliobox?
Portfoliobox makes my work looks great and it does it easily. They have such a lot of choice in the colors, the typefaces and the proportions that the results are really astonishingly professional very quickly.
