Tell us a bit about yourself

Hello! I'm a fashion and commercial photographer based in San Diego, California with a passion for both photography and music. I started photography at the age of 16 as a hobby and developed a passion for it. I haven't stopped ever since. My work gives me the ability to challenge myself to come up with refreshing concepts and ideas.

Tell us about one of your favourite projects and what inspired you to do it

One of my favourite projects is my "Sand Dunes" editorial that I created together along with my friend Terrill Thomas. This was a project we had in mind for a long time already. It was a beautiful combination between fashion and fine art shot at the sand dunes in California. The team we had was absolutely fantastic and the whole experience yielded us with timeless images.

What are you working on at the moment?

At the moment I am working on an original series black and white book which will be aimed to celebrate women in the industry in particular.

Who are your biggest influencers in the industry?

Many of my influences I have the pleasure of calling them friends, such as, Tina Eisen, Taylor Steingold, Tom Leishman and Viktoria Słowikowska. Also, Nicholas Fols and Alessio Albi have also been a significant influence in my work.

What was the last thing that inspired you?

The British Vogue Photoshoot with Billie Eilish by Craig McDean.

Tell us why it's important for you to have a website

I think it is important as a professional to have a portfolio of sorts to showcase your work in an organised manner to potential clients and have a home for your work. It also sets you apart in the industry as a professional and diversifies your exposure.

As a photographer what are your tips for building a good online portfolio website?

I'm personally always experimenting with different options but one common denominator for a good website is to remember that less is more! Sometimes I am guilty of this myself but also not including too much of one project is a good idea in order to keep the viewer interested. We are curious creatures with short spans of attention and the best thing we can do is diversification in order to fulfill that human nature of curiosity.

How do you market/promote yourself?

Targeted Ads, social media platforms, utilising SEO, Instagram SEO, word of mouth marketing and naturally a lot of e-mails.

Why do you use Portfoliobox?

I chose Portfoliobox because it is a very intuitive platform that allows me to present my work in a clean and simple manner to my clients. The design and customisation capabilities deliver tenfold and most importantly, the customer support team behind it is fantastic.
