The thumbnail that displays on a link page is by default the first image of the gallery. There will not be any default thumbnail if the page is a text page or another type of page.
To add a thumbnail or edit the current one, click the Bin Icon to delete the old one. After the deletion, click on Select Image and upload a new image.
