Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm a french artist and illustrator. I am a graduate of the Applied Arts in graphism and communication.

First, I started as story boarder for Parisian advertising agencies . And thanks to my first job, I'm going to draw as illustrator since 2002 for big and luxury fashion brands; I drax too for the decoration of hotels. In parallel, I develop my personnel work. My medium are Japanese inks and digital. My aestheticism goes through the color and the light, this two ingredients allow me to capture the atmosphere of a scene.

Tell us about one of your favorite projects and what inspired you to do it

I created the poster for "Devenir". It was DEVENIR, was a conference with every international personality who think about the sustainable development. Amongst the guest the Dalai Lama... I was inspired by the" mother earth", with a black hand and a white hand interlaced. The hands made a protective gesture like a pregnant woman, the earth like a tummy. But in a second reading we could realize the hands have choked the world. It's my favorite project because I was inspired by the cause, it was in 2003, my work has been recognize with this project, it was the beginning of my career.

What are you working on at the moment?

I'm working on graphism of advertising and packaging of Maison Lenôtre, a beautiful gastronomic company. All the Projects are so different, here I have to work too with the master chief to design the future cakes, inspired by my graphism. I'm preparing too a collection of wallpaper with my editor Atelier Contemporain. Supports are varied in this job it's why I like it!

Who are your biggest influences in the industry?

I'm very inspired by Asian artist like Tadahuro Uesugi or Oamul; I love too the colored work of Beya_rebai and the amazing silhouettes of Blue Farrier.

What was the last thing that inspired you?

Usually I'm very inspired by my travels or by nature. I paint them with my paintbrush and Japanese ink. But Since the lock-down, I search to capture movement in my work, I found inspiration by the graphism bring by contemporary dance or African dance. But recently I discover Julie Gautier, she dances underwater in apnea, so impressive and inspiring.

Tell us why it's important for you to have an online portfolio website

Have a website is essential for an artist. Personalized it represents what we want to show our work. The best gallery in fact and all information for the visitor. Moreover we have the chance to make a profession of image in 2 dimensions. To appreciate a musician we must make the effort to listen his music or read a writer’s book. For us illustrators, graphic designers and photographer, the 2 dimensional image is immediate. We can quickly interest a visitor through a website.

As an Artist what are your tips in building an online portfolio website?

Putting a powerful image in the home page who represent well your work. And after, to be sober and simple on the design, the fonts, to highlight your images. Don't hesitate to separate the sections of differently styles to be clear.

How do you promote yourself?

Through my artistic agent and my socials media.
