Who are you?
My name is Carlota and I'm a Portuguese freelance illustrator/animator/designer. I have a Masters in Architecture and I have also been taking a variety of courses over the years, from Graphic Design to 3D Modelling. My passions - at least at this point in time - are Illustration, Motion Graphics and playing the drums.
What are you inspired by?
I'm inspired by the awesome artsy stuff I see everyday (from music to sketches), by peculiar people and also by the high of looking at something right after I finish it (because after one or two days I tend to not love it anymore).
What was the last movie you watched?
Spirited Away, by Hayao Miyazaki.
What was the last book you read?
Persepolis, by Marjane Satrapi.
Do you have any role model?
Hayao Miyazaki, Richard Williams (the animator), Aldous Huxley, Virginia Woolf, Kenzo Tange, Bjarke Ingels, and many others.
What is your next creative project?
I'm usually doing various projects/experiments at the same time, it's the only way I can constantly learn new stuff. Just keep visiting the website, there's always something new coming up!
