Who are you?
My name is Ryan Cowie and I'm a womenswear fashion designer from Scotland.
What is your next creative project?
My current creative project is my Spring Summer 2018 collection which is based around the ancient Roman flower festival called Floralia.
How would you describe your work?
I would describe my work in three words: Futuristic, Feminist and Feminine.
Who are your biggest influences in the industry?
I have many influences in my creative field but someone who I feel has a similar aesthetic taste as myself is Christopher Kane who is a well know Scottish designer who works and resides in London.
What do you want your viewers to take away from your work?
I want my viewers to see that clothing, specifically my clothing, has the power to transform you into anyone you want to be and that a simple garment can give you the confidence, power or independence that you thought you may never be capable of wielding.
What do you like about Portfoliobox?
I love Portfoliobox because it is so easy to use and alter to fit my needs and wants in a website. I also love that it has the option for an online store as E-Commerce is very important to me as a small business.
