As a photographer, I need a way to showcase both my commercial work and my art in a professional and beautiful way, without having to spend a lot of time on the technical (and boring) aspects of maintaining a website. Alison De Mars is a freelance and fine art photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her artwork includes atmospheric landscapes, staged stories, and dark and intimate portraits. She is intrigued by the psychology of a room or place and how it is affected by light and darkness, and finds her inspiration in the works of a wide variety of artists – from Caravaggio and Rembrandt to David Lynch, Francis Bacon, and Helene Schmitz.
