Who are you?
I am a Brazilian documentary photographer based in Lisbon, and the main focus of my work is to tell stories. It means that I see the photography as a passport not only to tell stories about people's life but also to interact with those people listening to them, and also be able to exchanging impressions and cultural aspects.
What is your next creative project?
At moment I am working on a series about the Portuguese old villages and their citizens
How would you describe your work?
I really don't know how to describe my work, besides saying that it is a documental work...because I do prefer people who see my photos to classify it...
Who are your biggest influences in the industry?
I like a lot o references, since the old ones like Bresson, Cristina Rodero, Eugene Smith, Miguel Rio Branco, James Natchwey to the new generation like Vinet Vohra etc...the asian photographers are amazing....
What was the last thing that inspired you?
People...all kind of people and cultures...it always inspires me... the fishermans, the farmers, the workers...
