Who are you?
I am Ville Aakula, 30-year old cabinetmaker from Turku, Finland. I make goods from wood, I design new models, repairing some old furniture or try to make what customers want and need.
What are you inspired by?
My inspiration comes most of the time from material I work with, I always fall in love again when I see beautiful wood grains. I admire Danish design, Scandinavian design and also Japanese design, I like their simple design and beautiful lines.
What was the last movie you watched?
The movie was Hateful eight.
What was the last book you read?
Ira B Nadel - Leonard Cohen.
Do you have any role model?
Every talented cabinetmaker is a role model for me and also people with passion.
What is your next creative project?
Next creative project is to make unique dining table for a customer.
What do you like about Portfoliobox?
I like Portfoliobox very much, it is easy to use and everything is simple enough, also customer service is great ;)
