Who are you?
My name is Pierre Estérie, I'm a photographer based in Bordeaux, France. My work has evolved the past year and now focuses on documentary photography about social issues. I work as part of a collective called Medication Time.
What are you inspired by?
That's a difficult question. I think inspiration is coming from everywhere and everything. For me, I would say that music is a big part of my life so it surely inspires me a lot. But also, the conversations I can have with my friends and every activity I can have on a day to day basis.
What was the last movie you watched?
'Daesh', a documentary film by Thomas Dandois, Francois-Xavier Tregan .
What was the last book you read?
'E-penser' a book by Bruce Benamran. It's a very fun book to read about the history of science and he manages to explain a lot of complexe theories very easily.
Do you have any role model?
I don't have any role model. It's like inspiration. Every person I grew up with, every friend or every photographer I look up to shape the way I see everything.
What is your next creative project?
I work on a project about the surfing community and another about retired people.
What do you like about Portfoliobox?
I have a background in computer sciences but I have to say that I don't really like web design/development. Portfoliobox is nice and easy so I give it a go !
