With Portfoliobox, you can easily upload, share, and sell various digital files, including ebooks, audio files, tutorials, Lightroom presets, character designs, Photoshop brushes, and other digital downloads. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to do it.

Uploading digital files

To get started, you need to upload your digital files to your Portfoliobox site. Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to file sharing
   • Click on Libraries & Tools in your Portfoliobox admin panel.
   • Choose File Sharing under Business Tools.
2. Add new file
   • Click on Add New File.
   • Select a file from your computer.
   • Provide a title and a description for your file.
   • Click on Done to save.

Note: The title and description will be displayed on the download page for your customer.

Supported file sizes & formats

Portfoliobox supports a variety of file formats, including gif, jpg, jpeg, png, svg, zip, rar, mp3, mp4, mpeg, oga, ogv, opus, tar, wav, avi, epub, mobi, prc. The maximum file size is 1 GB per file. The total size of your digital files library depends on your plan:

• Light Plan: 25 MB
• Personal Plan: 50 MB
• Professional Plan: 5 GB

Note: You need to upgrade your plan before uploading files to your account.

Sharing a digital File

Once your file is uploaded, you can share it with your customers by generating a secure link. Here’s how:

1. Generate a secure link
   • Click on Libraries & Tools.
   • Choose File Sharing under Business Tools.
   • Click on Share or Sell.
   • Under Share, select a Link duration: 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days.
   • Click on Make Link to generate a secure link.
   • Confirm and copy the link.
2. Send the link to your customer using your preferred method, such as email.

Note: This file can only be downloaded by someone who received a secure link. Your customer will be redirected to a download page on your website, displaying the title and description of your file.

Selling a sigital file

Selling digital products on your Portfoliobox site is straightforward. There are two ways to sell a digital product:

• As a digital product in your store
  Upload your digital file and set it up as a product in your online store. When a customer completes the checkout, they will receive a link to download the file. The link will be valid for 3 days.
• Adding a checkout button to any page
  Add a Checkout button to any page on your website. When a customer clicks the button and completes the checkout process, they will receive a download link via email, valid for 3 days.
