Portfoliobox provides HTTPS for all Portfoliobox sites.
HTTPS is secure communication over Internet. It uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) or Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to provide a secure connection between a browser and a website, so the exchanged data cannot be read, forged, eavesdropped and tampered with by any third party. With HTTPS, your visitors will access a secure connection on every page of your site and browsers will recognise your site as secure.
When you order a domain name through Portfoliobox or connect your own domain to your site, an SSL certificate is automatically generated. The SSL certificate is free of charge and you do not need to take any action. Please note that if you are connecting your own domain to your site, your domain must be correctly configured before we can generate an SSL certificate for you.
Please note that HTTPS does not work with Portfoliobox 2. If you are still using the old version of Portfoliobox, we recommend to contact our support team to learn how you can migrate your website to the newest version.
Our website, Portfoliobox.net, also uses HTTPS when you login to your website admin panel to work with your page.
